Columbus Arts Festival
Taking place in June, the Columbus Arts Festival is one of the biggest annual art fairs in Columbus. The festival takes over several streets along the riverfront, right in the heart of downtown. Art is only part of the attraction... The festival includes live music, food, drink, art workshops and a 5k run, in addition to works by artists from across the country.
Urban Scrawl
You don't just get to see the artwork when it's finished at Urban Scrawl. You can watch it as a work in progress, proving that art is as much about the process as it is about the end result. This free two-day event takes place in August in the Franklinton Arts District and gives you a chance to watch talented artists create stunning murals as a part of Central Ohio’s largest ongoing urban renewal project. Some murals are mounted publicly while others are available for purchase at the Art for Franklinton fundraiser auction.
Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival
In Upper Arlington, a suburb just northeast of Columbus, the arrival of autumn brings one of the year's best art festivals. The Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival showcases the works of more than 200 painters, potters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors and more. This one-day, blind-juried arts festival takes in September at Northam Park, and also includes live entertainment, refreshments and children's activities.
CCAD Art Fair
You couldn't begin to count the number of talented artists who have studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design, but the CCAD Art Fair provides a sampling of their extraordinary work. This semiannual event gives you a chance to purchase a wide range of exciting contemporary art and to meet the students and alumni who create it.
