You have options at the Courses at Watters Creek. This facility features three different courses: a six-hole futures course, a nine-hole players course and the 18-hole traditions course. Footgolf—a game that takes the same rules of golfing but played with a soccer ball instead—is relegated to the fun and fast nine-hole course. The setting is so picturesque that the banquet facility on the grounds is host to weddings and other special events. If you place your order in advance, the on-site restaurant, Grill 33, will deliver breakfast or lunch out on the course.

There's no need to worry if your group includes golfers with varying skill levels at the Ridgeview Ranch Golf Course. The course is designed with four sets of tee boxes, so beginners can keep up and advanced golfers are challenged. Accented by shade trees, creeks and rock outcroppings, the course features Bermuda grass specifically grown for durability and color in southern climates. Stop by the bar and grill after a round for a cool, relaxing drink.
Family Play Time
Pecan Hollow Golf Course, the public golf course operated by Plano Parks & Recreation, is the perfect place for a play date with the family. Open Tuesdays through Sundays, your gang can play the full course or the short five-hole course. You can even stop by in the evening to practice on the lighted putting green. The clubhouse has big windows for big views across the course and a patio for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Where Legends Played
In the 1970s, The Club at Los Rios was Plano's first country club and a favorite hangout of pro football players. Legend has it that NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka had once challenged the legendary pro baseball outfielder Mickey Mantle to a game on this course, and country music star Charley Pride was also a member. Today, the course is still awesome with gracious live oak trees and natural water features, but the best way to book your tee time is online—a convenience players from an earlier era could not have imagined.
