Econo Lodge Waynesboro - Skyline Drive

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and fought the urge to leave after the first nite. We were prepaid and did not want to go through the hassle. As soon as we opened the entrance door to this nonsmoking building the smell of pot almost knocked us down. It was offensive and we called the front desk to complain. While the staff was very kind nothing ever happened to make this better. There was no coffee pot in the room. I can say I never stayed at any of your products without a coffee pot in the past. When I inquired about this, I was told it was because they served breakfast! I expected to be offered a machine. Coffee is important!!! There was a roach in the room. Just one single guy, I kept turning the lights on and off to make sure it was the only one. I stayed up most of that night worrying that his family might be moving into my luggage because they needed coffee and were trying to get away from the pot smoke. I had worked for a hotel company before I retired so I've heard all the crazy and unrealistic complaints. I almost always stay at a Choice hotel because they are a good value and are reasonably clean and nice. This hotel was a disappointment at best and although I will continue to search for Choice hotels when I travel, there is no way I could recommend this particular hotel.

Holes in the walls, ripped/stained carpet, terrible smell, cigarette hole in the blanket, smell of weed, hard to breath

Convenient location. Clean
