Slick, dishonest owner!

This motel certainly is a tired facility. The room was fine, the exterior showed significant wear. The price for the stay fairly reflected the facility. The person at the desk, both at arrival and leaving, appeared to be the owner, seemed pleasant enough. We were traveling with a dog, the facility website stated a pet fee of $10.00. Upon a late arrival the clerk had placed a hand written sign on a small piece of paper on the counter, leaning on the wall saying, “dogs $20.00/ night. I thought I remembered the $10, but I didn’t question the gentleman at the time. I took the time to read the policy section of the in-room hotel book, and it too stated $10/night for the pet. Upon leaving in the morning I chose to bring the key to the office the tell the person that both the website and the inroom book said $10. Strangely, the hand written $20.00 sign was gone. I politely stated that the website and the inroom book said $10. The gentleman pretended to be surprised and started using his phone to look up what the website said. At that point I chose to just suggest that he please do the right thing and charge the $10 not the $20. I thanked him for the stay, and I left. He charged me $20 for my pet. Not a nice thing to do. The only thing I will answer anyone who might ask me about Econo Lodge, is that I was dishonestly charged for my pet dog at an Econo Lodge.

- water seepage through the floor tiles causing tiles to warp. - front desk MIA 90% of the time - weird gunk on the walls. The place needs a deep renovation. Not hygenic place to stay. - old fixtures need replacing. - bath towels had brown stains on them.

This place was so run down and dirty and nasty. I would not recommend it to anyone.
