Stay away for your health!

Within 24-48 hours of staying just one night, I started seeing bed bugs bites that after 4 days needed medical attention! I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again. And I will tell all my family and friends to stay away from these hotels. Very disappointed.

We DID NOT check out on the 22nd. We checked out on the 16th. This was AFTER begging for clean sheets and towels and scrubbing our own bathrooms. Someone did bring one flat sheet, so I had something clean to sleep on; I brought in a bath towel and a small blanket that I had in the car. What was once the main entrance made it appear as if the building was abandoned. The entrance to the rooms was a side door; upon entering one felt as if you were entering an abandoned medical institution. The grass was a foot high, and the landscape was also overgrown and untended. This was a corporate reservation for business travel made through Concur. The room was totally unacceptable. The front desk has been shut down for YEARS, and this is not disclosed until arrival. The hotel next door (also carrying the Choice brand) apparently also rents the rooms at the EconoLodge. I attempted to take pictures of the room conditions, but there were only 2 lamps, each with one ancient fluorescent bulb, so it was dark. My corporate card was charged for the full amount of the stay at check in, as well as an additional $150 "damage deposit" which, in itself, was laughable. As I said, I took pictures of the room conditions. I do have a receipt refunding for the unused nights and the damage deposit, but it has yet to post to my account 6 days later. The linens were worn out, frayed, with holes and stains - items I would have used on a dog or in the garage. I was embarrassed for the front desk clerk when seeking help next door, and again when I checked out early the next morning. Holes in the walls, holes in the furniture, poorly patched damage to the ceiling, poor lighting, apparently no climate control available to the hallway. I mentioned no front desk already and also that the bathroom was not clean. Ants were discovered the next morning covering a water carafe next to the bed. The pictures I mentioned have been posted to Google. Please feel free to contact me for additional information.

Ramamurthy

linens given like towels are of really of very poor standards. Very dirty and old. We bought new ones to use. Very sorry. It is really bad. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
