I am appalled and horrified at the deplorable state of the Econo Lodge in Petersburg, VA. We booked a last minute stay to break up an overnight drive. The reservation was for a nonsmoking room, of which none were available when we arrived. The receptionist was very standoffish about this, and then the room itself...! The curtains and furniture were in shreds, the bathroom was filthy and the toilet and floor were basically falling apart, and multiple lights/outlets did not work. Worst of all, the door left a gap and did not feel safe or secure. I cannot fathom how any decent person could charge money for this. I expect and demand a refund ASAP.

Great quite place to duck off too

The desk attendant was a great guy. Very attentive and friendly. The beds seemed to be clean. There were a few roaches but I expected that, it is a lower end motel. The price is great if you are on a budget. If I come to Fort Gregg again, I will probably stay with you again.
