The bathroom was extremely nasty. Back of the commode was sickening. Urine in the floor. Something had spilled in the freezer part of the fridge and had frozen and was not cleaned up. The furniture was very dusty. The room needed some maintainance, but had not been cleaned in quite a while. Very disappointing for a choice hotel and definitely for the price.

The room at the Newberry Quality Inn where I stayed had an infestation of fruit flies. The front desk attendant came to spray the area himself however he only killed the ones that were airborne within the spray mist area. Many more survived so I had to sleep through that disturbing situation and it was very uncomfortable. Fruit flies repopulate within a day or two in areas where garbage is not well secured such as with open bags of food waste. Their presence indicates a lack of attention to proper waste management which reflects poorly on the management staff. I will not stay at the Newberry location again.

Other tenants partied in the parking lot all night. They pulled folding chairs out and were very loud all night long sitting outside their room.
