I am writing regarding my stay on August 16–17. While I was satisfied with the cleanliness of both the room and the dining area, I was absolutely shocked and deeply disappointed by the appallingly rude way I was spoken to by Lori at the front desk the moment I walked through the doors. Her behavior was unprofessional, discourteous, and entirely unacceptable, especially from a Choice Hotel, where I have always experienced respect and hospitality in the past. This encounter left a lasting negative impression on my stay, and I feel it is important that management be made aware. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further with a member of leadership. In addition to the above, I found out from other families that they received a discount on their stay because they were there for Clemson move in. This was exactly the reason I was there and Lori never told me that this was available for guests. The other families I spoke with received their discount upon check in. If this is a courtesy extended to Clemson University guests, then I question why this is not advertised, as this was the reason for my stay and I paid full price? This does not appear to be an equitable business practice. Best, Denea Kaup
