No Pool or Breakfast

The hotel was conveniently located but it was disappointing. We booked it due to the convenience of it's location to my partner's family, but also because of the pool and free breakfast. When I checked in, there was a sign at the front desk stating the pool was closed and there was no breakfast. Neither of these things was stated on the website and when I mentioned this the front desk clerk said I'm sorry with no further explanation. When we arrived at the room, we discovered that there was only one washcloth in the bathroom, when we asked for an additional towel we were told the towels were locked and couldn't be accessed until housekeeping returned in the morning. I don't believe that to be true, and if it is, perhaps management should leave some towels at the front desk for times when housekeeping didn't do their job correctly and put enough towels in a room for two adults. We saw there was someone in the hotel laundry, so we knocked on the door and asked if they could give us a washcloth. We were told the hotel was full so there weren't extra towels available, but could probably find us a washcloth, which she did. The smoke detector was covered by the liner from the ice bucket which is clearly a safety issue that wasn't noticed or addressed by whoever prepares the room between guests. There were no disposable cups in the room, no hangers in the closet area, and the room floor wasn't very clean. The hallways were not clean at all, the carpets didn't appear to be vacuumed any time in the recent past. The morning we were checking out, there was a woman in the hallway screaming profanities and pounding on a room door. This went on for several minutes. I tried to call the front desk and received no answer. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well, which was welcomed since it was 90 degrees while we were there. Despite those two positives, it's unlikely we will stay there again.

Terrible stay

The whole hotel was full of cokroaches. I had live and dead cockroaches in my bed, sink, shower, climbing the wall. The pool was closed and so was the breakfast. We would have checked into a new hotel but everything around us was booked due to the bike rally.
