I usually don't recommend hotels because everyone has their preferences when it comes to accommodations while traveling. That being said, for my purposes, this Econo Lodge is one of the better ones that I've stayed at over the years. I will say, I don't approve of the added service fee and cleaning fee. This is the first time I've ever encountered this practice at a budget motel. I will tip the housekeeper based on how I find the room. If your housekeepers aren't making enough in tips, increase their pay or raise your rates and pass that on to the housekeepers, don't trick me into paying extra when I check in. It just felt sleazy. Based on how I found the room, I would have tipped $3. I tipped nothing because I feel that you pre-collected a $5 tip from me at check-in. I don't like this practice. There is far too much of an "expected tipping" culture going on right now, and it needs to stop, in my opinion. Again, a nice clean room and a well-maintained property. Just stop squeezing us for the extra fees. The quality of your property will speak for itself and good customers will reward you with the tips you deserve.

Accommodated our little dog. Clean room. Noisy at night, only because it is so close to the highway. Breakfast served in the morning, was limited.
