Real affordability on the river

Our Econo Lodge® North hotel in Washington puts you in a central Inner Banks location, right on the Pamlico River. We’re near the Washington Civic Center and Beaufort County Community College. History fans will appreciate the self-guided tour of downtown Washington with its 36 historical sites and 18 antebellum homes. If you’re more into ecology, check out the North Carolina Estuarium with its more than 200 scientific and historic exhibits and its boardwalk along the river. The Turnage Theatre, a beautifully restored vaudeville theatre, offers a wide array of entertainment options, from live performances to movies. Make the short drive to New Bern and visit Tryon Palace, the official residence and administrative headquarters of the British governors of North Carolina from 1770 to 1775.

Barry

This was probably the nicest Econo Lodge we've ever stayed at. The continental breakfast was a little lacking but good enough.

Get What You Paid For

The staff was very pleasant and the room relatively clean. The biggest issue was spiders in the bathroom (probably not poisonous) and the fact that the room never got comfortably cold in two and a half days there. I understand it was hot, but for the A/C to be blasting constantly and the room to never get colder than 76 degrees was shocking. For less than $100 a night, though, everything was tolerable except the staticky TV that only got 4 channels.
