It was $677 for one night in a standard room with 2 queen beds. For that price it should’ve been so much better.

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Greenville, NC (Coliseum area) on 9/20/25-9/21/25. When we checked in the hotel everything seemed nice. We went upstairs to our room which was actually a very nice spacious room. Upon looking at the room we noticed that the bathroom floor was slippery as if it had some type of substance on it that caused it to be slippery. Upon further looking at the bathroom we also noticed that there was hair in the bath tub, sink and on the bathroom floor which lead us to believe that it had not been cleaned properly. I mentioned to my husband that I would just go and ask the front desk to maybe come up and clean that area. As I checked out the bedroom area, I noticed on the table there were prints and it did not seem like it had been wiped down as well as other surfaces in the room seem to need a little cleaning. Let me be clear that at no time did I make a really big deal about it. I simply told my husband that we would just address it with the front desk and ask them to either send housekeeping up or have someone come and take care of those things. We proceeded to go back downstairs and talk with the front desk about our findings. When I shared the details with the front desk staff, one staff member abruptly said "well we don't have housekeeping here and I can just refund you your money back". I at that time told her that I didn't want my money back and it wasn't a big deal, I would just like someone to come up and clean the room if that was possible. The other front desk clerk then offered to come up and take a look at the room and see what needed to be cleaned. She came up with us and said, she would take care of it. Once she cleaned down the surfaces she said that some of the stains were just stains that could not be removed but she did feel on the table where the table surface felt like it had some residue on it. After she cleaned the room which only took a few minutes, we thanked her and she went on her way. As I was going out to retrieve my bags, I overheard the two women talking and the one that cleaned our room told the other one, "oh that was a bunch of bull-s.... The other one preceded to say, "I already knew it was" and made a few other comments. Because my room was a corner room that was directly over the lobby I could hear them talking and they did not notice I was listening. I was totally appalled at their openness to speak about a customer loudly enough in the lobby that others could have heard them if walking by. My husband and I travel frequently and I travel even more with my corporation. I will never want to stay at this establishment again and I will tell friends and colleagues about my experience. I'm sure you have cameras so you can see the exchange that we had and quite possibly can hear them speaking about us, the customers. I did take a few photos of the hair on the floor and I also demonstrated the area where the floor was slippery to the desk clerk when she came to the room. The only reason we didn't leave and go and find another hotel is because it had been a long day and we had plans to meet our son, who is an ECU student for dinner.

Greeted every morning and the staff was pleasant.
