Rather unfriendly and indifferent at check in. Room and rest of stay was better.

1 because the Staff was great. 2 because the breakfast was good. 3 because the bed was comfortable. I will not give higher because the room smelled musty and mildewy. I wouldn’t be surprised if mold was found. The curtains did not keep out the night lights. The room never got even close to being dark. It was like trying to sleep with the sun shining through. The bedside lamp didn’t work. The bathroom light switch was broken. I did not report any to management. I was exhausted from driving and my husband is recovering from surgery. I didn’t have the energy to be moved to a different room if offered. Besides if one room is musty, mildewy or moldy they probably all are. I do love being a member of Choice Hotels but this one needs reviewing. It’s Hotels like this one that makes me skeptical of YOUR choice of chains.
