Cambria Bloomington Mall of America Minneapolis Airport

The hotel is beautiful and well managed. Ms Grannes General Mgr . knows how to run a hotel like very few General Managers do. She is the main reason we stay at her hotels over the years!

We had a great stay at this hotel- it’s conveniently located by the Mall of America and the Minneapolis Airport, has quick freeway access in all directions. It is beautiful, the rooms are very clean; modern upscale in decor. The employees are all very friendly and welcoming, and it really was well priced especially compared to other hotels in and around Minneapolis. Our stay at the Cambria Bloomington Mall of America/ Minneapolis Airport was likely one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had, so much so that I decided to do this survey/ review. We’ve stayed in some pretty nice hotels, and I don’t usually do reviews/ surveys but this was a standout experience that deserves recognition and recommendation! We had a very clean room that had a cool ‘photo mural’ on the main wall, the bed was comfortably soft, with room darkening roller blinds to keep the morning sun from blinding us first thing and a chaise lounge by the window. One of my favorite things the room had was a very large backlit bluetooth mirror in the bathroom so we could listen to music while getting ready in the morning or unwinding in the evening. The walk-in shower had a spotless glass surround and big fluffy towels, some of them patterned, a beautiful open wood vanity, and the bathroom door had a frosted glass panel to give a designer look that did not go unnoticed. Even the textured deep aqua-colored wallpaper featured on one wall of the bathroom was gorgeous. The hotel staff were friendly, and genuinely interested in how our stay was going. When I mentioned to the front desk staff that someone spilled some coffee in the elevator, the young man from housekeeping that was mopping the floor nearby immediately came over and took care of it. The breakfast buffet was very well tended, spotlessly clean and neatly served, and had enough food choices for a variety over the course of our 3 day stay. The scrambled eggs were delicious and they were real eggs (!) cooked to soft perfection every morning! (Not the over cooked rubbery dry eggs one typically finds at a hotel continental breakfast). Also, I would like to compliment the young man that worked the breakfast buffet throughout the weekend; he was incredibly personable, chatting with every diner, clearing away any empty dishes from tables, asking how their food was…just taking care of every detail and seemed to really enjoy his job. I forgot to tell the manager we really enjoyed those eggs, and also kudos to that young man for doing his job so well! We were warned from a friend the there is usually very heavy traffic because of the mall, but we did not experience anything like that. We actually forgot all about the pool, but will certainly be back for a stay, as we visit our daughter who lives in the area.
