I feel dirty coming home. We actually took the steps to prevent bed bugs. The hotel is old and needs updating. Carpet was nasty, our room and lobby had a smoke smell. Our air conditioner barely kept the room at 75 degrees. The pool area is very sad, a bit creepy. The staff was friendly, that’s the only positive thing I have to say. I wish we could get some compensation for what we paid.

Water from the bathroom from the floor above us was leaking through our bathroom ceiling. A significant amount. No easy resolution and the hotel and all others in the area were 100% booked, so moving wasn't an option. I had to ask a couple of times to get the room comped, which the manager did. In the future, get in front of an issue such as this to mitigate some of the extremely negative experience.
