The room smelled unpleasant (Rm. 119), the bathroom layout was claustrophobic, and the breakfast was subpar.

Old, dirty and outdated rooms, and that's the best part of the stay. Our rooms were on the second floor and my wife walks with a cane and NO elevator I didn't know that was even legal today. The free breakfast was located in an adjacent building on the second floor without any nearby elevator. The room was a large Sauna without any AC and only a few windows open on one side. I never saw anyone cleaning the tables or cleaning the severing tools used by everyone. The worst part yet was at check out when I meet rude and arrogant Cindy when I questioned the additional $60 charge on one of the two rooms I rented she said I should have read the fine print...hard to do when I rented over the phone. Cindy claims ALL Hotels and Motels do up charges without telling anyone I call BS! I received a confirmation email showing the same price for both rooms. We spend a lot of time at Mackinaw and this was our first and last time at Clarion and I will be sure to tell everyone I know how we were treated.
