Our room had a dirty t shirt in the corner of the room, and over night there was water seeping through the floor and I slipped in the bathroom in the middle of the night using the restrooms ( I’m fine- just scared me) . In the morning the entryway, bathroom and closet area were soaking wet.. and there was black mold in both sinks ( not there the day we checked in) and our microwave didn’t work. I’m not expecting perfection- it was very reasonably priced but having soaking wet socks and dirty sinks, and exposure to mold/ really was unpleasant. I took pictures of all of it if you want. We told an employee but clearly they were aware of a situation because someone was using a shop vac in the hallway to suck up the water. So then I was kinda irritated that we weren’t contacted about the problem and given a safe and dry room. Stuff happens but it was not handled at all.

Pool was a septic cesspool. Hallways were filled with marajuana secondhand smoke. Bed had not been cleaned beneath and was filled with a mystery sticky spill and dirty socks and underwear. Room had a steadily leaking tub that had flooded at one point and warped the wooden door into a crinkled, rotting mess with black mold between the laminate facing and the solid core. Black mold was also growing on the lampshade. When we entered the room, it had a damp mildew smell because the AC was completely off, not even the fan was recirculating the air. As someone with a history of hospitalization from mold exposure and asthma, the room was an absolute biohazard for me. The manager Deepak told me to seek a refund with my credit card, since I prepaid with points for a whole week’s stay. He seemed willing to issue a refund, but after I called the credit card company and they talked to Ray, they refused, on the grounds that we were offered an alternate room and we declined, for obvious reasons. We lost 5 nights’ worth of money and are never going to stay at any Quality, Comfort or other affiliated Inn ever again. The place would have shut down ages ago except all the locals know it’s where the city sends criminals who make bail before their court date to avoid sleeping in jail…
