This particular Comfort Inn I stayed here once before and I was fine. I chose Saturday into Monday this visit, Saturday night everything was good, Sunday into Monday was very scary thing. There was an irate guest at 3:00 a.m. who banged on the door like he was going to break it down, Shouting "everybody awake" I thought maybe there was a fire, but I didn't dare leave the room, there was yelling arguing then the cops were called, he threw up in the hallway very loudly, we all heard him retching in the hallway heard loud radios from the cops finally about 5:00 a.m. I think it was done so it was very scary being startled awake by a door being banged on followed by yelling, and all night chaos. I can't go back to that hotel ever again, there should have been a discount offered or a free stay another time for the horrible night everyone on the 4th floor experienced. Unreal. Unfortunately this does seem like a sketchy part of Michigan City anyways.

Reasonable room rates , comfortable bed, easy to find , close to Interstate Hwy 94 and a good breakfast.

Live mouse traps in room, landscaping is overgrown, garbage in parking lot and in grass. Drug dealer sitting in parking lot every day. Gun shot hole in elevator door. Breakfast room dirty. Outside door does not lock. Refrigerator in room turned off and had mold growing in it. The hotel is not at Comfort Inn standards.
