Friendly staff Clean rooms Great breakfast

The score was due to the staff and staffing. Almost any time you walk through the front door of this inn, there was nobody at the desk to greet you. There was a sign stating that they had stepped away for a while and a bell for you to ring to get somebody to come help you. For a couple of the days that we were there, they had even taken the bell away so you couldn't ring it. I cannot understand any hotel, motel or inn not having somebody at the front desk at all times. Definitely a major security risk! Now I cannot lump all of the employees in that category. When we did arrive on a Tuesday afternoon there was somebody at the desk after I stood there for a few minutes she was wonderful. They're also was another one who worked the desk most mornings but also seem to have another job of having to do some housekeeping or something which again I find very wrong because there should be somebody in attendance at the front desk at all times. But she was also very wonderful and there was a woman who handled the breakfast area and tried to help out at the front desk as best she could. I also give her much credit. But there was another person who apparently was covering the front desk and when I would bring my towels down in the morning to get refreshed I told her which ones I had and she said oh I will count them and as I was telling her I needed a couple other things she walked away from me so I was not impressed by that at all, just plain rude! I would tell anybody who would want to stay here to stay there at your own risk because it does not feel very secure with the fact that there is nobody at the front desk almost any time of the day or evening or night. And also some of the employees are quite rude but others are extremely nice. It's not consistent.

The hotel seemed dirty, THE CURTAINS a in the room #315 truly were FILTHY and the rim around the shower had mold which would be so easy to clean. i did forget to bring flip flop or slippers and the rug in that room you could feel the dirt underfoot. The room reaked of air freshener,possibly covering up cigarette smoke, that is how it seemed and the hallway had an oder all its own, THE ONLY NICE THING I WILL SAY IS THE EMPLOYEES BEHIND DESK A D ONE OLDER WOMAN at breakfast service were very nice also there was trash in parking area.
