• Find fresh air fun for free. The warmer months in Madison find locals and visitors alike enjoying outdoor activities in the mild weather. Take advantage of free admission at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens—which is home to 16-acres of outdoor gardens, including one of only four traditional Thai pavilions found outside Thailand. During summer evenings, you can enjoy dancing and great music. This event series takes place at the Frank Lloyd-Wright inspired Monona Terrace and runs for 6 weeks.
• Madison museums—many admission free! Discover learning opportunities for all ages, including unique exhibits, film screenings and special events at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Admission is free year-round here, as well as at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Traveling with the kiddos? Take them to the Wisconsin Historical Museum, where children 4 and under get in for free, and where everyone can enjoy free admission after 1 p.m.
