These hills have been dubbed the canopy tour capital of the Midwest for its more than 60 zip lines provide a bird's eye view of breathtaking landscape as you fly from treetop to treetop. It’s available for zip liners ages 10 and up. Kids can also enjoy Dragon Fly, a new zip line adventure designed for kids ages five to 12. Your exhilarating two-and-a-half to three hour spectacular adventure begins with experienced guides giving all prospective thrill-seekers a detailed safety and equipment orientation before getting fitted with gear for the tour. Everyone allowed on this attraction (from ages 10 and up) will also have the opportunity to actually zip on a low training cable to practice the techniques that will be used on the tour.
After a 1.5 mile scenic nature trail takes you to the Mighty Oak, the tour begins zipping along a network of cables and adventure sky bridges suspended high above the forest floor, overlooking a cave, rock cliffs and the Hocking River. You will complete ten zip lines, cross five adventure sky bridges and then glide back to ground level. Along the way you can stop the observation platforms and take-in the birds’ eye view. Your guides will point out interesting highlights of the area, including native vegetation, geology, animals, as well as local history. You can oar your way along the Hocking River by canoe and kayak river trips arranged through Hocking Hills Canoe Livery. Moonlit Canoe Rides are also available. Your trip ends at the livery with a roaring bonfire, s’mores and a local bluegrass band for your enjoyment. Back on land, mini-golf awaits you and your family during the summer months.
