This 135-acre park includes a functioning 1890s farmstead, a one-room schoolhouse, a general store and a church that was built circa 1900. Stroll through the historic buildings, chat with the costumed actors who work at the farm, and stop at Martin Drugstore for a milkshake at the soda fountain. It's like stepping into another world.
All About the Peanut…and Then Some
Proud to be known as the “Peanut Capital of the World” since the 1920s, Dothan’s streets and sidewalks are colorfully decorated with more than 60 brightly painted peanut statues. The bulk of America's peanuts are produced within 100 miles of Dothan. If you're lucky enough to visit in November, check out the National Peanut Festival, a three-day event that draws a crowd of more than 150,000 people.
