Walking in the door, I felt like I was being admitted into some kind of facility. Not very friendly customer service. Room didn’t even have an iron. Take a shower?! Not! I was not comfortable staying there. Glad it was only overnight.

Dehumidifiers were placed throughout the lobby. The restaurant was not open . Three doors leading into the property could be opened without a key card. The carpet was bowing all around. The place appeared to have been neglected. One shining thing is that my room was clean, and the AC worked.

Horrible stay and accommodations at Long Island Clarion
While I have stayed at other Clarion Hotels, this one was the worse ever. I travel for business often, and I'd say that I will ever take another chance at a Clarion. The lobby was extremely out dated and in fact I inquired if it was currently going through rennovations because it looked disorganized and smelled like meldew. They had a 'temporary' check in counter that looked very unwelcoming and awkward. Apparently the management decided they kept the Covid protocol. There were handwritten instructions with a marker taped to the back counter. The front looked desk representative appeared in poor health, he didn't greet me or others in line very kindly. I was checking in with three very large cases wiht my product... he gave me a room that was far from the elevator and at the very end of the hall way. He saw that I had the cases, but didn't think about where he was placing me. I would have changed rooms, but it was late at night and I was very tired. There was a restaurant in the hotel, but it was never open. My room was non smoking, but it wreaked like smoke. The faucet in my bathroom leaked water all over the counter when I turned the handle to the left to get hot water, hence I didn't have hot water.
The second night I returned from a long day of work and the TV remote wasn't working. I figured it was the battery so I went down to the front desk and kindly asked for batteries. The same front desk guy seemed annoyed, and threw me a another remote from a drawer. No apology, no eye contact, nothing. I can't waste any more time with this critique. In my 10 years of biz travel, I have never taken the time to give a review. That is how bad this experience was.
