The staff was extremely nice and kind. Easy on and off of the highway.

Room strongly smelled of smoke.

Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. No microwave in room. Hotel interior looks a bit worn. Breakfast selection okay.

Zero stars

To explain my use of stars, because I do not admire a system that gives five stars to average services. The stars should have a normal distribution, with three stars being the most common - i.e. *** indicates fair / expected value for money. **** indicates better than expected; and ***** is outstanding. ** is poor, and * is abysmal. I stayed one night for about $95.00 and while a little costly, the room was fine - i.e. as expected which leads to a three star rating. I wanted to stay again three nights later, and was quoted $300. That is, the same three star service, but for three times greater cost - which arithmetically reduces the rating to one star. But the price gouging revealed that the hotel / chain was telling fibs when it was advocating its own services; and clearly ranks making a profit over providing a good service. So, with that, it lost its single star. I'll now consider finding another chain - although I fear all follow the same exploitational philosophy.
