There was dirty cutlery and napkins outside our room when we checked in. Other than that everything was fine and beautiful.

Other than being very ornate, spectacular visually with all the brass and cathedral ceilings it's not a place I'd class as a 4 star, maybe a 2.5 - 3. There isn't a fridge with freezer in the room nor a microwave. I always bring cream for my coffee in the morning. But no luck there. Just a chemical powder. Sometimes I may want a bottle of wine in the fridge. No fridge to put it in. I very often bring some leftover dinner to the room to eat later in the evening. No fridge. We have travelled a lot in the last 4 years sometime staying in older hotels 2.5 all the way to fancy 5 stars. I expect a fridge with freezer for my Ice packs, a microwave, etc. And lots of places will have complimentary bottles of water, LOL NOT this hotel. You wanted I think it was $7.99 Plus tax, WOW, I was almost embarrassed for you. I felt like tossing some nickles and dimes your was. Money wasn't an issue it was the lack of getting what we paid for. The only 4 star part of this hotel is in the visual. Otherwise comfortable and clean. I recommend people go and see this hotel, it truly is lovely. But don't waste your money. Not much complimentary customer amenities.

The amenities were limited. The rooms were cramped, poorly and cheaply decorated as well as overall uninteresting. There was little to no value for money. The staff were unaccommodating and overall unfriendly. I have extensive experience visiting hotels, this by far was the most unimpressed I have been with a hotel stay.
