The staff were great, they were attentive and responsive to our requests for extra towels and tissues. The house keeping during our stay was okay, there were days when we were low on toilet tissue and soap and it still wasn’t refilled. There was one night that we heard people fighting and arguing in the hallway at 1:30am but the staff was able to handle it pretty fast. The hotel rooms seemed even more outdated than when we last stayed last year. It was dusty, hairs in the corner of the bathroom, old TV and furnitures. The carpet definitely needs to be replaced, it had stains, it was lifted/warped and it felt sticky and dirty. Our main disappointment was the pool, when we booked our stay, it didn’t mention that the pool was unavailable. It was only after we booked it did it say it would be unavailable until end of June 21st. Then we came in August and it was still unavailable. The rate stayed the same and no sort of compensation for not having one of the main hotel amenities available. This was a huge disappointment. We’ll probably stay at a different hotel next time we come to Calgary.
