Comfortless Inn

I make it a point in life not to complain about petty things and were it not for this email requesting my opinion, one wouldn’t have known how disappointed I was. However, no part of my stay was enjoyable. The hotel may have been clean to its own standards, but were not at all close to what I’ve come to expect from hotels. If the room I stayed in is reflective of the others, then I can state with confidence that the hotel has a lax approach to cleanliness and repair. I could itemize my grievances, if you wish, but if the hotel owners were self-aware, they would know what they need to improve upon due to the obviousness of its indefensible shortcomings. If I were to consider my stay as ‘poor’, it could be misconstrued as a compliment. I wanted to leave before even going to the room, but I don’t like causing a fuss—even to my own detriment.

Keep Looking

Dirty. Older building that has not been kept up. Room was not clean. Dirty towels left in room. Empty tissue box. Worn and dirty carpet. Dirty shower curtains that did not fit the tub.

Worst hotel in the Choice hotel family

The refrigerator in our room had a rotten banana, what may have been hamburgers, and bottles of something in it. It took 3 visits to the front desk and a day and a half to get housekeeping to clean it out. Even then, they came in with a spray can of something and started spraying. I had to open the refrigerator door and show them what needed to be done. There was a big dark stain on the carpet which, I was told, was spilled coffee but looked too dark to be that. The comfortable chair in the room had several tears and worn spots. There was no chair at the desk so we had to use the ottoman, which also had tears in it. The message light on the phone was flashing, the phone was also missing parts so I just put it into the drawer of the bedside table so as not to have the distraction of the flashing light. In the dining area, the juice dispenser didn't work. There was juice in the refrigerator but it was frozen. I observed a man waiting at the desk because his key didn't work. I ate my entire breakfast - egg, sausage, waffle, and tea - and there was still no one at the desk to help him. The woman who worked in the dining area didn't speak English and mimed like someone was washing their hair. The man asked how long it took to shower. There was an older gentleman who was helping with the breakfast area, who also didn't seem to speak English. He brought in a carafe of coffee and poured some of it into the pump carafe labeled as regular coffee and the rest into the pump carafe labeled as Almond flavored. There was a man who was at the desk during the day who spoke some English, as did the clerk who checked us in the evening of our arrival but neither seemed particularly proficient in English. When we arrived, one woman checked us in then gave the key to a second woman who led me to the room. She took a video of the hallway and around the room while asking me if it was ok. I pointed out the stain on the rug but the details of the lack of maintenance weren't visible at a quick glance.
