Reviews
Elevator did not work; did not like that a barber shop was at the end of the hall on the second floor which made it feel unsafe. I will say the front desk support was wonderful.

nightmare
I would not recommend this hotel at all. I would tell any and everyone to avoid this hotel.
First, we got to our room after enjoying a long day at Universal Studios. It was 85 degrees in Los Angeles and just as warm in our room at the hotel. We called the front desk and notified them. They sent someone up, checked on the unit, determined the unit was broken, told us they were switching our rooms, went back to the front desk, just to call us back and tell us the hotel was booked and we basically had to deal with it. My family and I were tired and just wanted to rest. So.....we sucked it up.
Second, the water in the bathroom sink did not properly drain. We had to brush our teeth and wash our hands in the shower.
Last thing i'll mention is my account was charged twice for one stay. On top of every other issue I was double charged?!? I went to the front desk and showed them my bank statement and they told me to speak to my bank about it??? At that point I was in disbelief and wanted to leave as soon as I could.
This is one of the worst experiences my family and I have had at a hotel, and we've traveled around the world. If it were not for the fun we had at Universal Studios I would take further action for sure.
Rating this hotel with one star is being nice. My wife has already been to every review site she is registered with and warned travelers to avoid the hotel.

Acceptable.....BUT....needs some attention
It was acceptable for our stay. Staff was great. The hotel rooms have deferred maintenance. There is an old/stale smell in the hotel floors. The third floor where we stayed was red or grey and didn't go with the exterior look of the property. It just all needs updating and a fresh coat of paint and carpeting. The pillows were lumpy and bumpy, the shower head squirted from all directions, the drains were slow; there weren't enough plugs for electronics; the refrigerator hummed too. Lastly, the little balcony was filthy with debris so make sure the cleaning gals inspect that every time a guest leaves. I liked the microwave so I can make tea or warm up food in the room and having the little shop in the lobby. Other than that, we would stay again as it was conveniently located to Universal Studios and easy access to the Burbank Airport. Oh yes, pls do not allow smoking of any sorts inside the hotel rooms...the smell of marijuana was in our first room so we moved rooms right away. I was traveling with my child and it's not something I need to expose him to at a young age.
