Great Price, Decent Rooms, Minor repairs and deep clean suggested for some rooms
I'm giving it a 10, because over all it's a good place to stay. We felt safe, the beds were comfortable and it served it's purpose.
I'd recommend the Rodeway Inn, for the price, to some of our friends and family. The ones where price matters more than details. But, I'd still have to share some details with them, to be honest. It does have a reasonable price. It does have a good staff. But, the rooms are need of some general 'maintenance'. They are a little bit 'tired'. They could use a really good 'DEEP CLEAN' and minor repairs. None of the repairs are truly difficult. Just necessary to keep the hotel from becoming worse. And I hope that someone with power sees this post and gets a crew in there to fix up the bad spots and clean up the dirty spots. It does not need a lot, but it certainly needs some, and pretty soon.
Overall the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The Rodeway Inn had comfortable beds, clean sheets and is decent. For the price, we will certainly be back.
PROS: The beds are COMFORTABLE. We had ample towels, but no wash clothes. No problem, we used hand towels instead. We had a microwave, and small fridge with freezer.
CONS: In the morning, while doing the last search for anything missing, I was a bit grossed out to find an OLD dried up part of what looked like a hot dog bun that was very hard with lots of dust on it. And some sort of walnut looking items with a lot of dust attached to them, leading me to believe that it's been awhile since anyone vacuumed along that edge of the bed. I get it, it's narrow and tough to reach, but it was kinda gross. Also, when we walked in the room there was lipstick on the mirror, which I wiped off. And the walls between the bathroom and counter area had drips of something that was once a very dark and very thick liquid. Like maybe dried blood, or molasses. A few quick rubs with a wet towel, they all came off. But, I did think the who ever cleaned the room was a bit too rushed. These were very obvious things that should have been wiped off before our arrival.
The corner by the tub is quite dirty, and there was a really 'dirty and crusty' wash cloth still hanging up on the shower rail. It was dirty, like if someone washed their shoes with it, and hung it up there to dry, and the person(s) cleaning the room missed it. I understand 'hard water' and dry heat, so tossed it on the back of the toilet for housekeeping to see and collect with our own damp clothes and towels.
In general, it's a fair price, for a nice place to sleep. We'll be back. I'd be cautious of which friends I'd recommend to go there, but I would certainly recommend to some of them.
