The room was dirty and smelled (I had to run the AC unit all night to eliminate the smell), and there was still trash from a previous guest in the trash cans. Towels had hair in them, no conditioner in the shower. Parking was difficult. My bank account had 2 charges pending, one for one night and one for two. They say I was only charged for the 2 nights, but I’ll wait to see what actually goes through the bank.

Where to start? Waited 45 minutes until an employee actually showed up at the office to check me in. (This was in the afternoon...not the middle of the night! And I wasn't the only customer waiting.) And when the employee did show up she didn't really profess any concern about our wait at all. Then she assigned me a room on the 2nd floor and when I requested a ground floor room instead (as I had recently had both hips replaced) you would have thought I asked her to build me that ground floor room! Got to the room...no liners in trash cans, no toilet paper(!), no amenities at all (soap, lotions, ice bucket, etc.). And though the location is close to the train station that sound was drowned out by the airplane exhaust level sound of the A/C unit! Bathroom was so small it was necessary to actually close the bathroom door to use the toilet! Don't get me wrong. I was not expecting a Five Star Shangra-La when booking this low cost small motel but I certainly wasn't expecting a barely One Star Experience! And as always, just dealing with a customer service person who actually has customer service skills can always somewhat make up for deficiencies in other areas. But didn't get that at this location either. One positive...very close walking distance to the fun little Flagstaff downtown. So there was that.
