lack of ownership by hotel staff
In my first room, there were fresh "stains" on the comforter. Not stains...fresh filth. The sprinklers were hanging out of the ceiling and toilet paper had been stuffed into the ceiling holes.
The second room smelled strongly of ammonia (like cat pee).
The third room was clean.
It took three tries to find an acceptable room AND it took some negotiating at the front desk before they were willing to find the alternate rooms.

I wouldn't stay here again
The exterior of the hotel was nice. The hallways were fine. The room was awful. The shower knob fell off while I was in there. The doors had scratches. The ceiling was peeling. The cold water didn't work in the bathroom sink. One of the fire alarms chirped all night. The TVs (both of them) did not work properly.
